Robbie Robertson & Eric Clapton duo album shelved.

It has been reported over the past number of months that the dynamic duo has shelved its album. Some have "guestimated" that it is because the two extremely creative musicians could not see eye-to-eye during its production. Robbie's son Sebastian recently responded to our question to him as to what the real reason is for shelving the album. He replied that Eric needed to spend more time w/ his young family & it would take away from the time & dedication that he & Robbie felt was necessary to create an album to their liking. Eric will be a part of Robbie's upcoming solo album though.

Recent message from his son Sebastian (pic is of Robbie as a child in Toronto):

Being that Robbie is new to myspace we would greatly appreciate it if you could help us promote the page. Share it with your friends and simply let people know we're here. As soon as we hit 1,000 friends we'll start having giveaways of autographs, CD's, DVD's etc.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Happy b'day to the late Johnny "Clyde" Copeland!

The great blues guitarist, who had performed w/ the late great Sonny Boy Williamson, would have turned 72 today. He sadly left us in '97 due to complications from heart surgery.

Robbie Robertson solo album in the works.

Robbie's son (Sebastian) reports on his father's Myspace page that a solo album is in the works. Great musicians, such as, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood & Kings of Leon will partake in the venture.

Robbie Robertson "Myspace" page operated by his son Sebastian.

Robbie Robertson's (& frmr wife Dominique) son Sebastian is currently operating a relatively new Myspace page for his father in an effort to better connect w/ his fans. It is a nicely assembled page & is updated on a regular basis.

Happy b'day to the late Jeff Healey!

Happy b'day to the late Rufus Thomas!

Happy b'day to the late Steve McQueen!

The king of cool would be turning 79 tomorrow. He passed away from mesothelioma (asbestos based cancer) in '80. Levon Helm has stated that Robbie Robertson had dined w/ McQueen. You either loved or hated McQueen. He could be very philanthropic or a menace. One thing is for certain...love him or hate him...he rocked his film & tv parts. His eyes peered through his eyebrows. We read the Christopher Sandford bio on McQueen...a very good read for McQueen enthusiasts. An actor such as McQueen only comes once in a lifetime.
